Why most founders stop posting by week three
Every founder starts the same way. A plan to post twice a week, a list of topics, maybe a drafted first piece. Week one goes out. Week two slips to Friday. By week three there is a bug in production and the post never gets written.
The calendar always picks shipping
Content loses because it has no deadline attached to it. Nobody is blocked on your LinkedIn post. The support ticket, the broken deploy, the customer call, all of those have someone waiting on the other end.
Three things that are true about this:
- The habit is not a discipline problem
- Writing from scratch is the expensive part, not publishing
- A queue you approve beats a calendar you fill
What actually survives
The founders who keep posting are not more organised. They removed the writing step. Something else produces the draft, they read it, and they decide whether it goes out.
That is a different job. Reading takes four minutes. Writing takes ninety.
